Dear VentPark Ranger,
I really am grateful for this board because it has given me the chance to talk to a group of amazing women who help keep me motivated when I’m ready to quit, and make me laugh on a daily basis. I love that I can chat with women from all over Canada, the U.S., Paris, U.K., Australia, and the Netherlands (welcome Felicia)! I check this board at least three times a day, and keep up with TA news via this board, not the TA Method website. This is far more current.
Also, I never would have heard of Velform arm wraps, nor MBTs if it hadn’t been for Reviewer’s insightful reviews, which by the way, I really do trust. It was her review of the Mat dvd that convinced me I wouldn’t be throwing away my money by purchasing a very expensive exercise dvd.
So, in short, thank you. I will not be leaving this board. My only suggestion for improvement, is navigation between the main message board and the group checkins, as I find those are the only two that I use. However, even that is not a big deal. Thanks for a great forum for TA lovers!

Yes, I am forever grateful to these group of women who keep me going daily!! Thanks Inga for your kind words above!
I’d like to see:
– an editing feature even if it’s for say 10 minutes so we can go back and fix typos or run-on thoughts!
–be able to color words
–make the photo upload friendlier for the user
–it’d be cool to have a video upload feature
–it’d be fun maybe to have a page for each of us to have a little about ourselves or pics, favorite recipes, measurements, workouts, or say, on Topanga’s page she could have her BigBro video clips, etc.
–easier navigation between the TA msg. bd and other areas of VP
If I think of more, I’ll post again but tons of thanks for hosting us and improving things as I know it costs $ to do so.

For me, I am having a hard time keeping up with the “stream of consciousness” flow of the board in it’s current format. I don’t have a lot of time to spare, and if I let a day go by without checking in here, I find it difficult to catch up on everyone’s posts - I end up having to skim through all of the posts, and I know I frequently miss interesting comments or pertinent questions simply because of the vast quantity of posts.
I don’t know how it could best be accomplished, but I wonder if there could be some way to break the board down into topic-specific threads? Or if we didn’t want to lose the stream-of-consciousness format, maybe break it down by day or week or something - just some way to break it down into more manageable groups of posts?
Also, like Reviewer suggested, an edit function on our own posts would be nice just so we can correct typos, etc.

Suggestions:
1. For posts dating from the beginning to a couple of months back, split the posts into topic headings (threads).
2. If the above is not possible because of several items being addressed within one post, another suggestion is indexing. For example, topic name, pg. 20, name of poster & date.
3. Provide discussion headings such as Cardio, Mat workout, PP workout, General vent, Diet & Nutrition, Chat.

Reference Suggestion 3.
Topic headings are suggestions for separate thread discussions, the categories.

I love this thread. My only suggestion would be to identify and label the dates more clearly. For example: If I haven’t been on the board in a week I’d to go back to the last day I was on and read from there. Right now the dates are the smallest thing on the page. And if it could work like Facebook that the most recent post is on page 1 and not on the last page.

I’m a bit torn on whether I would like the post broken into topics because I do love so much coming onto the board every morning or every evening and just seeing what all my friends have been doing or thinking. We don’t have to structure ourselves into just talking about one topic and going to another thread to ask about another, etc.
I’m thinking we can keep our MAIN board to just check in with eachother, talk about whatever, and then have other threads to go to for specific questions and information. Kinda like how we started the group check-in page for our challenges and then we have the measurement page for our results. But these need to be organized better on Vent Park’s main page. I feel like it is not easy to jump from one to another.
I also agree that the MAIN discussion board of ours be organized by date or week. This would be easier to navigate rather than “I think that was on page 28???…”

I’m going to kind of echo what Sam Uppie said. I’d love not to have to immediately skip to page 33 (or whatever) when I log on. Like if the front page was the most current page, that would be helpful. Also, it would be great if there were some way to mark the last post I’d read. That would be easier than scrolling up trying to find something that looks familiar and then starting to read from there. Other than those little things, I’m thrilled with this board. I don’t have anything to compare it to, as I do not post anywhere else, but I find it to be pretty user friendly. And I do not know what I’d do if I couldn’t connect with my TA friends on a daily basis.

I would love, like Reviewer said, to be able to have a profile, where we can post pics, measurements, interests, our websites, stuff like that.
Also, I agree with the posters here who suggests some way to organize the threads so that we don’t have to wade through pages and pages of content if we miss a day or two.
Other than that, nothing else comes to mind but I’ll re-post if it does.
July 6th, 2009 at 12:06 pm
I agree that the latest posts should be first, with the possibility of marking where you were reading last is a very good idea.
July 6th, 2009 at 1:55 pm
But if we had most recent posts first, I’m concerned that newbies would get lost?? As it is now, they come to page 1 and read and catch up. Now I can’t imagine reading all these pages, but they do time and time again.
July 6th, 2009 at 6:46 pm
what about organizing it by date? I agree with Reviewer that we shouldn’t put most recent first, but if it was broken down by day or month or week, like a blog, that might make it easier to navigate.

I am so grateful that I can across Vent Park…and especially to Reviewer for the detailed review on Tracy’s DVD! That alone got me to purchase it and being able to chat daily with like-minded people is great.
I agree with all of the suggestions above…and one other one we should have a “search” button…so that if I forgot someone posted something months ago about “protein shakes” I can just type that in and it will direct me to that post.
Hopefully what ever changes are made to this ever expanding board are for the best!
=)

I agree: Let’s keep it unconventional in that the comments are still organized from top to bottom and not like a regular blog, but yes, we need some weekly date headers to help keep it more organized.

Many forums have the complete text of the reply in the email notifications — I think it would be a huge boost if the format stays as it is.
I was away for two weeks with only intermittent internet connection. If I’d been able to to download when I could, I would have easily been ably to keep up. As it is, I am far behind and may never get all of them read…. A pity, because I’m sure there are gems!
Also, it would then allow you to keep posts you want to note and/or reply to at a later time.

I’d love for us to be able to send personal mail messages to each other too.

Editing capability:
It’s pretty clunky to not be able to edit your post right after it posts and you see that the website didn’t get it all or repeated part of it.

Webmaster:
Today I am not able to get a post to “take” on your website, I click the submit button and nothing happens, it keep says it’s transferring data but it won’t post. What’s wrong?

Webmaster:
That was on the Tracy Anderson Main Message Board, everything posted OK after the Dove review. Hope you can figure it out.

KhoTran33: There’s a post from you on the TA board from this morning just a few minutes before you posted here about the problem you were having. Is that the post you were having trouble with? There may have just been a delay before it “took.”

i was wondering if anyone has become a member on the tam site yet? i just did and it didn’t ask for any money or anything, but it has classes you can sign up for and i’m guessing they’re like video feeds or something but i don’t know if they are free or not?… if you have joined or done anything on the site please let me know!
