Fitness DVD’s on Demand

iTunes and Amazon have music videos, TV Series, and movies (not the greatest selection, mind you) on demand — to rent or buy, watch on your TV, computer, iPod, i Phone, or similar device.
But a fitness tape? No! Why?
Would this not be huge business? Would it not allow the little guys worldwide distribution rather than limiting themselves to a particular country? I just don’t get it….
I know Netflix and the like have these available for rental, but that doesn’t help those of us not in the U.S. Even if rental is not possible (which it really should be), how about letting me purchase online and download it — NOW — rather than having to hope it shows up on ebay, with a seller willing to ship it to me without charging me double for the trouble.
I am lucky in that my DVD player will play multiple formats, but there are many of those that can’t play out of their regions. The ability to download it would solve the problem.
Why why WHY isn’t this done?
Is it because most of those that workout our female and most of the top brass at Apple, etc., are male? Do they not understand they could be making a lot money here???
Or are the powers-that-be hoping we’ll succumb to illegal downloads so they can fine us $1.9 million?
(This vent has no vote question)

On second thought, I would like to apologise for my rant accusing them of sexism. That wasn’t really fair and that’s not my peeve…. Mea culpa. I just want to be able to download and pay for exercise tapes I want to use without having to depend on the kindness of strangers.

Actually there are downloadable Fitness videos, both free and for-money. ExerciseTV offers both DVDs and downloads (in MP4 format), although some videos are available in only one form or the other. Granted, they offer only their own stuff, but some of that is pretty good.
