Let’s talk about affairs….

It is a known fact that at 22% of men and 17% of women have affairs in their married life.90% of the people that they are cheating with know during the affair that the person they are involved with is married.

            It’s time to stop with what I like to call the “Damsel In Distress” card that these women who are dating married men play. I was watching “The View” today and they had women on there that had written a book (a best seller I might add) about the married men that she had affair(s) with. Barbara Walters asked this woman that if you knew these men were married why did you have an affair with them? Her response was “If he didn’t cheat with me he would have cheated with someone else”. This response came 30 seconds after her telling of a 7-year affair with a man she claimed that she was unaware that he was married. My question as a man is … If women think that men that have affairs are scum … why do they buy a book written by a women who is knowingly having affairs with married men? When you buy the book it is sending a message to the mistress that what she is doing or has done is ok. Should she not also be held accountable? Does her morality ever kick in and say “Hey… when your divorce is final then give me a call”. The final question is … why is the wife often made the villain in the outset.
