My 3hr Work-Out Session With Tracy Anderson
(19,530 views)Well where do I begin?
My first real live encounter with the one and only Tracy Anderson herself!
I was nervous and anxious to meet her and workout with her. When my friend and I arrived at the Marriot it was still pretty early so we were able to score a front and center spot! As we waited and the room filled up with tons and tons of toned women (and a few men as well) eagerly waiting for Tracy to grace us with her presence. Once she appeared on stage we all clapped.
She is so cute in person. So “teeny tiny” and her body is one smoking hot lean and toned machine!
Her ABS..OHHH those ABS! They are what I (all us women, I am sure) dream of…one flat sheet of pure muscle…its motivating and inspiring.
We started working out our arms (no weights) mostly just freestyle fluid movements…sort of what you would see at the end of the 07 dance DVD and/or the new arm webisodes…she goes very fast!!
She specifically stated that you may think that the arm movements look the same but pay very very close attention to the rotations and slightest change or a flick of the wrist…that will change the muscles you workout…so pay attention!
She does by the way go super fast but then again so does the heart-thumping music playing in the background…so it pumps you (her) up to go faster…she sort of moves to the beat of the music which makes it a little easier to follow her….she said she gets lost in the music and one of the dancers on the side of her counts all the reps.
She was on stage the whole time with 3 other trainers/dancers. One of which is in the webisodes. I think her name is Anna. All of their bodies are so amazingly sculpted as well! She had many other men and women trainers from her new Tribeca studio scattered around the room amongst all of us and they worked out with us!
After arms we moved on to legs which was so grueling and intense. My hips, butt, thighs (inner & outer) were killing me for days. She did some old moves that we all know and many new ones (they felt more advanced) some from the webisodes…even slight variations from the webisodes.
Bottom-line no matter what body part you are focusing on she constantly is engaging all of your other muscle groups. This is the key to looking like her someday. She also mentions that you want to stick with the mat DVD but if you have been doing it for a while and want to avoid getting “static” buy 1.5lb ankle weights by Danskin.
PLEASE NOTE: when buying them look for the box that says 3lbs…They are 3lbs of combined total weight, so 1.5lbs each…It took me a minute to realize that! LOL
Lastly we did abs…Which I specifically did not say “crunches” for a reason. She hardly does boring up and down crunching…it’s mostly all leg movements, lifts and rotations to really tone up your lower abs! And boy do you feel it burn…once again very similar to the webisodes abs portion with some slight variations.
She allowed us a 5 min bathroom/water break. (thank god!) and also gave us cans of this all natural energy drink called GURU ENERGY (get the lite version, its only 10 calories) which she claims is addicting and to not drink more than two a day! I drank one and felt it gave me just that lil extra boost I needed for the dance cardio segment coming up.
I actually took a couple of extra ones home with me and felt more alert not jittery like those other chemical-energy drinks. I ordered a case from Amazon.com yesterday! Can’t wait for them to arrive!
Tracy and her dancers performed their first routine for us…which was a show in itself! They were amazing!!!
Then she broke it down for us step by step…up to tempo and then with the heart-thumping music (all of which was off her I-Pod…I got to say I love her taste in music!!)
Once we all learned the first combo she told us the secret to getting results with dance cardio is to PERFORM!!
The best thing she said which made a lot of sense was “You want people to pay to come watch you in your living room…just dance your heart out like a true performer would!”
She then took a vote…show of hands…who wanted to learn a 2nd combo? Feeling brave…I and many others raised our hands!
Tracy and her dancers performed it again…although this one looked a bit more tricky and need I say…HARD to me…although while they were performing and us common folk were admiring their perfect physique’s…one girl amongst us was dancing along with them…Tracy called her out…Who are you? You don’t work for me do you? The girl mentioned she met her once at her studio and that she knew the combo from her dance DVD. She told her to get up on stage and dance with them…she said she was a rockstar!!! How sick is that…I so wish I would have learned the combos by now…I am only up to the first one.
If only she had done an 07 DVD combo
That girl was so happy & honored to be up on stage with Tracy and her dancers
After we sweated our hearts out on the floor we all sat down and were able to randomly ask her questions.
She congratulated all of us for doing a great job and keeping up for the whole 3 hrs with her! She said that if any of us wanted to stay for the next session she would welcome us to (for free of course since we already paid for the 1st session) but under one condition….we would have to sit in the back row. Now I would have loved to stay for another 4 hrs and maybe get something else that I missed in that first class….but I would of needed to call 911 and have a stretcher carry me out of that room. I didn’t want to be embarrassed so my friend and I limped out of there…already in pain was not a good sign of what was to come in the next days……more soreness and pain…I LOVE IT THOUGH! No Pain No Gain!
Now I can’t recall everything that was said since I was so super nervous sitting right in front of her and trying to figure out what in the world I was going to ask her…my mind went blank!
I asked her a two part question… what she felt about doing Bikram Yoga and she said that she doesn’t really like the results yoga and Pilates produce…specifically around the abdominal region, they make you look more square and boxy in the abs region.
I then asked her if she had any nutritional tips or diet advice. She said she has a boat load of that. Here’s what she told me:
First off don’t drink your calories. She says she drinks mostly water and sometimes coconut water…but to be careful with that because you should not have more than an 8oz serving. If you want, it is okay to mix it in with regular water and sip throughout the day. She also drinks that green drink which is a blend of spinach, kale, chard, apple, ginger, lemon and parsley. She says she loves it and its so energizing. She drinks it in the morning and sometimes again in the afternoon.
She swares by ThinkThin Bars (especially the creamy peanut butter) She told us that she cant seem to find them anymore. I told her Fairway Supermarkets carry them and so does Amazon.com. =)
A perfect day for her would be a ThinkThin Bar for Breakfast and then for lunch she said she chops up a whole cucumber and a whole tomato into bite size pieces and then gets “Yves Fake Chicken Meat” warms that up and chops it all up with the veggies…NO DRESSING…NO OIL…NO SPICES…just plain like that will be her lunch or another Think Thin Bar if she is on the run. And then for dinner she will have a steamed piece of salmon with some steamed veggies like spinach, asparagus, etc. All of course with no seasoning, oil or spices.
She does try to cut out dairy although she mentioned that the night before she had three slices of pizza and brownies with her son when they went bowling. LOL!
She said that she loves to eat and that’s why she works out so much so that she doesn’t have to deprive herself. She says you should not have a cheat day because then you will go all out and binge…but rather a cheat meal and of course everything in moderation.
As far as other people’s questions she mentioned about how Gwen and Madonna workout to only her method, since she is responsible for what their bodies look like and believes that if you want to obtain the same goals she is trying to achieve then you should only do her method. NO running, NO elliptical!!!!
One girl asked I really, really love to run so is it bad if I do it one day a week…she said nothing will hurt you if you do it once a week but running itself is bulking up your glute muscles and is actually doing the opposite of what she is trying to get your butt to look like (think VS model Gisele). So for me that means no more running…I am strictly doing dance cardio!!!!! And performing my butt off!
She also said that you should do the mat/muscular structure work (the webisodes) first and then dance it out with the dance cardio….not vice versa! You can either do all three webisodes all at once or tack one on each day to the end of the mat DVD. Whatever you choose just make sure you move by doing something 6 days a week.
Aim to try to do at least 30 mins of each minimum (mat&cardio)….but ideally to do 2hrs (1hr of each) that would be perfect (and lord knows we all want to be perfect)
She says that the webisodes will be constantly changing and that we need to change with them so that our muscles don’t get static or used to the same thing. They will eventually put up dance aerobics webisodes. The connect website will also feature a lot more…its still getting developed. She wants to have “challenges” for all of us who want to try something new to better ourselves.
Oh she also mentioned that she likes to keep the room hot while working out. The reason for that is that your muscles move better and of course you sweat more! She said that if you can’t control your own heat/thermostat to invest in some space heaters and place 3 of them around the area where you will be working-out. Put them on for about 2-3hrs if possible before you workout to warm up the room.
She spoke about her studio in Tribeca and how it will not offer classes like the one in LA does that non-members can participate in. This studio is totally different from anything else she has done and that is why it is so pricey. They have this digital computer program that analyzes each person and every ten days each person gets their own hand written personalized and customized workout plan catered to their needs/wants and goals.
She also talked about when she is done teaching this class, which by the way is her favorite thing to do teaching large groups…she says its more fun! =) Afterwards she was going to hit the Waverly Inn and eat a big basket of biscuits. God if she really eats like that and looks the way she does then GOD BLESS HER! She works out hard and I guess that is the key!
My mind is fried…I just got back from vacation and my first day back was working out with Tracy so not only was I exhausted and jet-lagged but now I am back at work and trying to jump back into reality…so please please forgive my horrible spelling and grammar. Also I am trying to recall everything that I possibly could from that great day…so in case anything else pops into my head I will be sure to add it on.
(This vent has no vote question)

Bella thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience for us! Hope you had a wonderful vacation!
belladiamondz says:
I wish I would of brought a tape recorder with me so it would of been much easier to remember everything that I learned. My head was throbbing from all the info we got that day! =)
workinprogress says:
You are wonderful for taking the time to write that for all of us :) That was so much fun to read ~ THANK YOU!!! I am going to get the guru energy, coconut water and the ankle weights. awesome!!! I also want the webisodes now, I just need to learn how to put them to dvd. I won’t ever do them on the computer
momof4 says:
You are SOOOO nice to take time to do this for your fellow partners here! THANK YOU!
My questions…
1. she wants you to always do the mat 6 days a week and add the webisode onto it? Don’t just do the webisode? And if mat is becoming a bit easier….then add ankle weights? I’m gathering the mat is a staple workout for TA fans.
2. So you started off with arms…how long?
3. Then went into the legs/abs b/f cardio? How long each?
4. Dancing, which combo was it if she learned it from her DVD? How long did you dance for?
5. Do you have the playlist or could you name a few of the songs? Did you just keep repeating the same dance combo to the different songs for how long?
6. Was it hard handling how hot the room was?
OK, so her diet stills sounds so much less for all her workingout! So she was going to repeat all that again in the afternoon???? WOW! the girl has energy!!!!
Did you see her shoes? Were they Nike Shox? hahaha
I’ll stop now…I’m sorry….answer when you can..no pressure. I’m so excited for you to have had that awesome experience. If money were no object, I would have flown there for the day. How fun!
(still bugs me the whole running thing. Her treadmill workout incorporated a little jogging-didn’t it? But I change every 5 minutes to skipping or sprint or the side walking etc. So is that OK?
belladiamondz says:
Ok MOMOF4 I will give it my best shot to answer your questions
1. she wants you to always do the mat 6 days a week and add the webisode onto it? Don’t just do the webisode? And if mat is becoming a bit easier….then add ankle weights? I’m gathering the mat is a staple workout for TA fans.
She wants you to move 6 days a week…whether it be doing the mat and/or 1-3 webisodes together tacked on at the end or do just the mat one day and all 3 webisodes together the next day a few women asked her the same sorta questions and she reiterated that you need to move…always do something everyday! and then you will see results, it will be a change and that change will become a habit.
2. So you started off with arms…how long?
3. Then went into the legs/abs b/f cardio? How long each?
To be honest I didn’t wear a watch nor was there a clock in the room…but im going to guess we did 1 1/2 of toning so about 30 mins of each body part.
4. Dancing, which combo was it if she learned it from her DVD? How long did you dance for?
I have not fully watched or learned past combo # 1 on the 08 DVD so I am not certain which combo it was that she taught as her 2nd combo in class on Sunday. I would say we danced for the 2nd half of the class so about 1 1/2hrs of the cardio dancing around and learning it.
5. Do you have the play list or could you name a few of the songs? Did you just keep repeating the same dance combo to the different songs for how long?
She played different songs each time that were about 5 mins long. She made us dance to each song and then when it finished she would go right into the next one and we would continue dancing.
She played Britney Spears, Black Eyed Peas, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, T.I., lots of Rap/Hip Hop and various re-mixes that were fast and uptempo. I was going to ask her about the music but I got too nervous and forgot. =(
6. Was it hard handling how hot the room was?
To be honest the room was not hot at all to me….I was so focused on working out and not messing up that I really didn’t pay any attention to the temperature of the room. I was sweating regardless.
The girl has tons and tons of energy…even in between dance routines she just jumps around and dances all un-choreographed but looks like she is having fun doing it! You can tell she loves what she does
Her shoes were in fact Nike Shox…..someone actually asked the question what shoes does she recommend and she said NIKE SHOX…oh and to try and avoid ever doing dance cardio on a carpeted floor…you cant move as gracefully and as quick with carpeting and that could in effect cause more injury.
Her treadmill workout is basically side sashaying then jumping/skipping…sprinting but never just flat out running for one long period of time…she said it countless times keep switching it up …even while we were learning a dance combo she says..OK RUN IN PLACE….this is the only time I want you to run! LOL!
Let me know if that explains somewhat of what you wanted to know…hope that helped =)
momof4 says:
You’re the best Bella!! Thank you for answering all these. So then she does do the same combo for a couple songs and that’s not considered bad for results? Interesting, I would have thought you had to keep changing up combos.
HOLY COW 30 min per arm/ab/legs. That’s how you look like her fast! I guess the 10 min of arms on the webisode won’t cut it eh? haha
I can’t believe how long you danced. You are INCREDIBLE to have kept up! How fun!
So the shoe thing is finally answered!!! NIKE SHOX! I wonder why the sales people tell me not to and they’re bad for knees. I did notice the Nike Shox at Dick’s does not have a flat tip for turns on the bottom. That must be the cameo’s then?
If she dined on pizza and brownies, how’d she have the energy to handle all that working out? When I feast on that stuff it hurts my workouts.
I wonder if she ever feels sore after her dancing/toning.
THANKS for answering! I’m sure I’ll have more….:)
gypsy says:
Thanks Bella! You did a great job remembering! we really appreciate it!
I have a question for you: Did she talk about the Hybrid Reformer Machines at all? I’m wondering if she talks about the HBR as being an essential component to her method or if she thinks the mat work and cardio is just as good. Does it seem like she was stressing the importance of the HBR at all?
workinprogress: I want to put the webisodes on a DVD as well. Hopefully this weekend I can dedicate some time to trying to figure out how to do this. I’ll post the info if I do.
belladiamondz says:
gypsy
Tracy briefly touched on the Hybrid Reformer…she only mentioned in when she spoke about her studio and the bands, bars, cubes, etc….she said that if you cant afford to join the gym…the webisodes is the way that she can get herself out there to the masses (which is us!) TracyAndersonConnect is going to have a lot more information and a ton more workouts to come so that we can see results.
The whole reason for this workout session was to spread the word about her Connect site and the fact that you dont need any fancy equipment to get into great shape! =)
Oh and if anyone figures out how to get the webisodes onto a DVD that would be spectacular…Its so annoying watching them off my laptop.
Susie says:
Sweet Bella,
For arm work—did you do any type of push-up-like moves or was it all standing?
Thanks!
momof4 says:
I love getting all info….just encouraging and motivating!!!
Did anyone talk about if you are short on time which is better …. dance cardio or mat/webisodes?
ALSO…I forgot earlier….did she start you out with stretching and end with it? My one thing about the webisodes and her 2007 is she has no stretching warm-up.
Reviewer says:
Bless you Bella! Thanks tons. Still digesting it all. Your report is motivational!!
balance09 says:
thanks bella for taking the time to write about the session! Sounds like so much fun - in a painful sort of way lol!!
belladiamondz says:
Susie
Whenever we did the leg portion we were sort of in a push-up position so that def worked my arms and chest all the while working my legs/butt area.
Another move we did for the legs we had our hands in position as if you were going to do tricep dips…but no dipping…and then crossing our legs over each other and then back out…so that once again worked out the arms…targeting the triceps.
But to answer your question the arm portion was all done standing.
momof4
As for being short on time…she basically summed it up by saying JUST MOVE…as long as you do something, even if its just the webisodes which arent that long (if you are short on time) but of course more is always better for results.
And as far as warm-up or cool-down…there was none which kinda bothers me. I love to stretch out my muscles after an intense workout…she did comment about that to someone and her reason for why she does not do it…but she must of been talking right around the time of my question and I was super nervous so I blanked out. sorry =(
torontomom says:
bella you are amazing!! thank you so much for taking your precious time to type all that info out.. i hope you know how much it means to all of us who arent new yorkers and couldnt afford to fly out there and see her!! (although i totally would if i could lol!)
i have been waiting for a moment to read it all when i had the time to digest it and its fabulous..
the only thing i wonder about is she says a normal day is 2 think thin bars and a juice, a veggie salad and some salmon.. but then she is off for pizza and biscuits??!! seems so unbalanced to me.. i guess though if your job is working out you will burn it in no time.
cant wait to see more of the webisodes, those little videos have come in really handy for me lately i have been doing them on my laptop too and it is annoying but i love the short and sweet quick results i feel when i do all three.
thanks a million again bella!!!
belladiamondz says:
Im glad I could share my experience with all of you fabulous ladies….Im keepign my fingers crossed that she does more special events/appearances so that we can all get a chance to workout with her. She is an amazing woman with great talent…and a rockin bod that we all aspire to have one day! She said its not a dream…you can have the body you’ve always dreamed of! You just need to work out and do her method!
momof4 says:
Just hearing about your experience has totally motivated me to work harder, can you imagine if I got to be there?? Gosh, she’s like the celebrity to me. haha
Thanks so much for answering all the questions. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments lately from people. Someone asked me last night (I was out to dinner and I had a drink and fajitas) if that was the only meal I had all day? Urgh!!! THen I was hearing how thin I am, skinny as a rail and all that. I actually said “No, I’m leaner which gives the appearance of being that much skinnier.” I’m finding a lot of women who don’t exercise “assume” that if you lose weight you aren’t eating. So it didn’t offend me this time, I just plainly said this is the best workout I’ve ever done b/c it’s the first workout I look forward to doing. I could tell she envied me for that.
Bottom line is-this method really does bring you down to your tiniest. My legs are more toned now, I’m not as horrified anymore. I still want them toner though but a HUGE improvement from just February. My stomach is going in more. I just love it! So worth the effort/work/sweat/frustrations etc.
belladiamondz says:
momof4
I couldnt agree with you more! You hit the nail on the head with the fact that people assume we dont eat…since we are in fact getting teeny tiny…but also toned and lean.
Tracy mentioned that people can be what she calls “skinny fat” and that is def not the look that any one wants. You want to be tiny but toned! No loose hanging or sagging skin…and she is the living proof!
I have stopped my lunch hour runs and I am now just strictly focusing entirely on Tracy’s method…I dont want to counteract anything that her method does by ruining it with running (thats what she says).
and yes…I do look forward to working out and doing the videos/webisodes. I know all the blood (from my blistered toes) sweat (from every pore in my body) and tears (from the agony and pain we endure working out and pushing ourselves to the limit) is all well worth it. I feel better about myself and the best part is looking better in clothes & bathing suits =)
torontomom says:
Its so motivational coming in here to see what you girls are talking about. makes me want to work out more and more!!
momof4 the other day a family member came over and i was wearing pants that were a bit too big - size 4 but i had been doing garden work and grubby stuff so it didnt matter how the pants looked.. she has put weight on latley and has been frustrated with not being able to get it off.. she told me i looked “too skinny and boyish” and automatically assumed i was starving myself. i have been telling her about TA for months now and was kindof insulted that she said that but secretly proud that i know in my heart that i have never looked better - but more importantly have never been stronger or healthier in my whole life. tracys method motivates me to eat right, drink less alcohol, and excercise as much as my schedule allows me to and i wish so much i could thank that woman for being accesible to the general public with her dvds and internet stuff.
momof4 says:
Torontomom- so crazy how people respond. I guess it’s basically bringing out their own personal issues with themselves and projecting. It’s easier for perople to think we are starving ourselves then to think “Man, they have more drive/ambition/motivation/and strength to handle all this working out than I do” or something b/c it is odd. I know that would have gotten to me and b/c of this board I have kept working hard. I love this board!
BTW Size 4 too big…..CONGRATS Hon!!!!

torontomom says:
momof4 thanks. i actually bought the pants on a boxing day sale (i think its the same as your black friday type of shopping but its in january and after xmas) and they fit perfect back then, i started doing tracy hardcore in december and i havent taken any measurements and dont weigh myself so i dont really know exactly how much progress ive made but the pants tell the story for sure. now im not quite a 2 and 4 is too big so i am a frustrating inbetween, but its all good.
i know people project their own issues and my lovely cousin was definitly doing that, but it was funny because it didnt even bother me after a while, because i know in my heart that ive never worked so hard and i deserve to be proud of it. some days i feel very selfish carving out time for my workouts when i could be doing other stuff but then i hear tracy on the PP workout saying “you have to find time for yourself right now, its very hard but its also very important” even though my “baby” is almost 3 i still deserve that time to make me feel good and look good and it really does change the way i behave after i have worked out. (for the better of course!)
belladiamondz says:
Torontomom and Momof4
Both of you are getting the same negative feedback from people also! It kills me when people automatically assume, “Oh you dont eat…I bet you are starving yourself! You are getting too skinny, you need to eat!”
I tell people, I do eat, and probably more than you…I just eat the right foods and work my ass off…literally!
In my honest opinion its so much easier to just not do anything and starve yourself…what we ladies are doing takes commitment, dedication, willpower, strenght and guts to do!
An anonymous user says:
Bella did tracy mentioned anything about using weights?
when I do the mat workout I like to add some ankle weights to add resistance…
will this make any difference?
belladiamondz says:
Yes…as a matter of fact she did!
She mentioned that if you have been doing the MAT dvd for a while now and would like to see some results so you dont get “static” try adding 1.5lb weights to your ankles.
I’ve been doing that for the entire lenght of the MAT & PP DVD’s….believe it or not it makes a huge difference even when doing the abs section =)
blueboy86 says:
Thanks alot for taking the time to reply, yes I ve been doing both workouts and the webisodes with weights on my ankles .
I wonder if we’ll have some new webisodes soon , I heard tracy will publish a book on her method later his year and im looking forward to do it.
I think she should create some gadgets or gears for the home users like some of us that are not able to attend to her classes, like a band home system to add some kinetic resistance to the workout, or the cube excercises she performs on her gym.
Thanks alot Bella for sharing all the valuable info you experienced on your 3 hr session with Tracy, now i have a concern since im a guy, ive been trying to add extra weight to my workouts and I also do some more weights since its a guys body will obviously develop different from a girls.
but will this affect the type of body im trying to achieve…i hope i dont bulk up alot!
happy workout to everyone here!
and thanks again bella
Topanga says:
So I get there about 20 minutes early (I was shooting for 45 minutes earlier. Not. Joking. I thought the line would be out the door! I imagined crazy ladies screaming for their chance to get in). But there’s no one there yet. Just a typical morning workout session.
I wait outside and about ten minutes before, other ladies start to show up. And they are just as excited as I am – if not nervous. One of the girls said to me “I am so nervous to workout with her!” I love this girl.
The air was tense.
Then, suddenly, a door opens and out walks this majestic but tiny Tracy Anderson. She is also very tiny. Short in stature, and her build is perfect for her size. She has a tiny booty, a sculpted stomach, amazing arms. Not bulky at all. Perfectly toned. Not an inch of extra fat or jiggle anywhere on her body. Nuthin. But she looks very healthy - extremely so. Nothing excessive, just perfect. She is wearing black knee-length tights and a black tank. Super cool black Nike shoes, like the ones we all have on the boards.
By now there are about 30 ladies in the room, plus most of the trainers. The trainers dance along with us. It’s a magical moment in time.
Then the workouts begin – first we do about 45 minutes of a mat workout: arms, booty, thighs…lots of legs. She has several new arm workouts. Many look as though you are holding a box in your hand and you lift your arm and lower it. I noticed this especially, the new ‘box’ workout. For legs, we mostly get on all fours and do kicks – behind us, in front of us, to the side.
Halfway into it I look around and everyone is beet red, and dripping – and I mean dripping – in sweat. The floors are wet with sweat. So much so that it has to be mopped up.
I have never seen so much sweat in my life. I look down and my entire shirt is drenched. There is not a dry spot in my pants.
Then we go to the cardio. This seems to be a combo of the webisodes, GOOP cardio, cardio DVD and all the cardio combos we use at the studio. Some of them are very hard, but the workout is very intense.
At the end are the standing abs and the arms – these are the funnest.
She gives us tips and stern warnings: 1) never just “sit there” while doing cardio. You must workout as though you were really performing. Even if we didn’t know the routines, we were supposed to jump around in place and not stand around watching. The more you try and work and learn the cardio, the more calories you will burn. 2) force yourself to feel “uncomfortable” during workouts and get out of your zone. She says that when she works Madonna out, she stands very close to her – inside her comfort zone – because your muscles contract and you feel weird, like someone is trespassing in your territory I guess? So you work harder. 3) Do not talk during cardio. She says this is why she keeps talking to a minimum during her workouts (actually she said nothing during the workouts). 4) If you don’t do the cardio, you will not see results. If you do half the cardio, you will see half the results. Etc. etc. She promises that we can get to her level in terms of dancing. I’m not sure if she also meant toning-wise.
At the end, the buckets of sweat were mopped from the floor, and everyone just sort of stumbled out. On my way out, I looked to my left and who was waiting? A gorgeous celeb, in her little workout gear, waiting for HER class to begin.
belladiamondz says:
thanks so much TOPANGA…that was a great experience and I am happy you shared it with us! =)
….hmmm who was the celeb??
lisab says:

Thanks for posting…..that is inspiring to me!!!

Thanks for this post, Topanga! I love your writing style, I felt like I was there experiencing it with you (minus all the sweat).

Okay…so I just started this yesterday. OMG! At first I thought, “I really don’t feel bad.” I thought maybe I wasn’t focused enough on my moves; however, as the day continues, I’m becoming more and more sore! I hope I can make it home:) I did the Mat and attempted the Dance Aerobic. I enjoyed the Mat and the Dance; however, the dance is not an easy one to pick up. I will be trying the Post-Preg (even though I’ve never had a child) and another attempt at the Dance. I think once I get the Dance seqences down, it will be a blast! When your watching the Mat workout and seeing her do the arm set, you think, “what in the world is that going to do.” But OMG, I could not get through it with out taking breaks. It looks easy, but as is usually the case, it’s not! I cursed her the whole while. I have always had very large arms and would love this if it can make them look small and tone…very lady like! That’s the goal, that and overall toneness. Will keep you updated.
