My husband several years older  started to act strange. I had already realized that he was becoming impotent. He would just disappear for days at a time. He would return very nervous and exhausted and would remain in bed for a couple of days afterward. He took the Bible and swore on it and his dead mother whom he loved dearly that he was not seeing another woman but was at times confused. He said things would build up and he simply needed time alone. He was a very well known man in the community. I wanted to protect the respect people had for him. I started to lie and cover up for him. I did ask him to buy a small place that he could go to during these moments so that I would know that he was okay. He said no for I would come there to check on him and he needed to be ALONE. I was convinced he was facing a breakdown of some sort. One day he goes running into a local office and asks them to call the police. He stated that I had tried to kill him. This  made me even more sure of what I thought was happening to him. He got a restraining warrant against me and I found out that he had been telling lies for some time that I was attempting to kill him. I quickly signed off on a divorce even telling my lawyer what I suspected and that I was certain we would get back together. The day I signed the papers and moved from the house he moved her in. She was 26 yrs younger and married. Her husband went wild. HER ex would vandalized the car and my ex would tell everyone I did it. He was too respectable to admit to having a married woman in my old bed. The town was a buzz everywhere I went I could hear the remarks being made about me. The house got vandalized and again I got blamed. Then the two men met at a local store. Her ex grabbed a can off the shelf and hit my ex in the head. My ex was found unconscious on the floor in a pool of blood. He told that I had done this to him but that he would not press charges for I needed help.  After a week in the hospital he was released. No one knew that the young woman was living with him. Three months later he passed out while eating lunch in a cafe. Rushed to the hospital he went into a coma. Infection had set in on the brain from the injury he had received. A warrant was sworn out for me for attempted murder. The investigation pulled the store video and saw what happened. The same people that wanted to hang me one day patted me on the back the next day. When her ex was bought to trial for hitting him with the can of baby formula the judge decided my ex got what he deserved and turned the jilted husband loose. My ex husband now sits in a wheelchair and listens to her three small children scream and holler until I am told he is almost crazy. This is TRUE.
