(861 views)Hi Everyone,
I’m a frequent reader of this blog but not a frequent contributor. I’ve been doing both TA’s Mat and Cardio DVDs for two months. I do one DVD a day. I’m up to 6 or 7 days a week. I am finding that it is becoming more and more a part of my daily routine. I’m noticing small improvements in my physique and don’t expect big changes until summer.
I’ve been in recovery from bulimia and anorexia for several years but I still have to be cautious about getting obsessed with the number on the scale, too much measuring, and counting calories. That’s why I’m only doing a formal weigh in and measurements every six months.
What I do dwell on is how this workout elevates my mood, clears my head, improvs my stamina, and helps me sleep better. I only do the two TA DVDs as I like to fall into a routine. There is still enough variety in them for me to stay interested. And I love that I can do it on my own schedule and not a gym’s schedule. Also, I take a hot bath right after every workout — it helps a lot with sore muscles.
A quick dessert idea that has no sugar, flour, or wheat.
Steam a cut apple until it is the consistency of apples in apple pie. In a bowl mix steamed apples, one tablespoon brown rice syrup, one tablespoon almond butter, and some cinnamon. Mix and let the heat of the apples soften and melt the other ingredients and eat. It is really yummy. I have it every night for dessert.
Have a great week!
Hugs,
Sam

hi i relate to you
i have also been both ends bulimia and almost anorexia (but not quite), now it is “just”overeating which is just beyond stopping but i know in the past it had always stopped so am just waiting for that. i am almost 5 months pregnant but still dont think i should be overeating. but here you go. TA mat workout at least stops me from munching on anything for those coupla minutes. am still obsessed with weighing myself , it’s a sort of self torture because of course the weight is just going up due to the pregnancy.
is totally true what you are saying about the TA workout elevates one’s mood, if due to nothing else then due to the fact that at least i’ve attempted something. the dance workouts - i love jumping but everything wobbles now unless i put on a corset (which i do, it feels great), so i do like one song, for me the easiest is the one where you jump into plieus and back (the easiest choreography i think), number 4 i think on the dance cardio. anyway, just good to read someone else’s post about this. hang in there.
