First of all I don’t agree with all of the remarks made about VF.  The remarks made of SharonNYC were unwarrented.  Anyone who has been around VF knows that Sharon is a smart lady and a Yoga Purist.  So her remarks about TA workout shouldn’t have been taken seriously.  Remember that Sharon enjoys Yoga daily.  Now the comments about DebM well that is another story.  This woman is very forthright.  She feels that because she has all this knowledge and the degrees (that she won’t let all of VF be privy too) to go with it, that she can spout off to her hearts content.  Well the truth is that while she may be knowledgeable the regular VFer just wants to enjoy their workouts.  Whether they are TA, CLX or David Kirsch’s.  I myself would like to enjoy any workout and be able to comment on it without the “Knowledge Police” disecting it to death.  That just sucks the joy out of it.  Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.  Let it go DebM can you just shut your mouth and let the people who are actually doing whatever workouts TA or CLX just comment in peace and enjoy them if they enjoy them.  Must you suck out all the fun on various threads.  I liked it better when you were away for a while.  I don’t mind some educational infomation but you have just taken over certain threads to death.  Its like you can’t control yourself.   It has stopped being enjoyable to be able to comment about something without you having to throw your two cents in.   Enough is enough.  If you must show off your learned brain than post that if anyone would like more education on the subject matter that they can PM you.  That way the rest of us won’t have to scroll through a myriad of your knowledge that is so boundless.

It’s not just Toaster/Dr. Beth who gets tons of free workouts because she gives mostly positive reviews.  DeniseR is another one who does the same but isn’t always upfront about it.

I don’t mind the negativity at VF, because you can get useful nuggets from the good and the bad, although it is definitely a harsher site than some and way overmoderated.

I agree Denise R should also stop writing reviews because she does get workouts for free and withholds this information sometimes.  Besides her reviews are useless I never bother with them.  If you are going to write a review be honest and write more than two lines about it.  Its as though she gets the workouts for free and then couldn’t be bothered to say much about it.  Than why the heck did you want it to begin with idiot.

I agree that some negative feedback is fine but everything has limits.  I feel that some don’t know when to stop.  Everything in balance is best.

The moderators should be moderating DebM who really needs to stop regurgitating everything she learned in school.  If we all wanted and encyclopedia we would have asked for one.

Maybe also the few who found that they had to reprimand those who spoke out about DebM’s comments on another board could just shut up now on this one.  This is after all a “Vent” place.  If they found it so bad they should not have continued reading the thread.  Instead they read it curiously and then reprimanded everyone over at VF.  As if VF was going to spank them for being bad little girls expressing their personal views of DebM.  Now that I think about it VF has protected DebM quite a bit I wonder why?

A few things to which I object:
1.  The thread asking Blackberry if she was Gymratt was deleted.   It should have been locked, not deleted, and if content such as was discussed in that thread is going to be deleted it should be in the VF Guidelines and the community should be made aware of this important change to the guidelines.
2.  Moderators should not be allowed to edit a poster’s post.   The moderator should post openly on the thread and ask the poster to edit out the inapproprate content, or even better, issue a warning about the post violating guidelines and that the discussion should not continue in that vein.  If VF was Clare’s website and not WWWWendy’s I would not be a member.
I’ve been a VF supporter for five years and I am feeling very, very disheartened by the above two offenses.   I can ignore posters who bug me, and I can report those whom I feel are way out of line, but when the community administrators behave the way I’ve described here, I am just overwhelmed with disappointment.

I had to laugh in one of Debbie M’s post where she commented on the “fatal attraction” reference to her.  She thinks it’s Farrah Fawcett!!!!!!  Hahahaha - ummmmm………that would be Glenn Close!!!

Imworkingit knows what she’s talking about.  It’s only a matter of time before the moderators figure her out.  For the rest of the forum’s sake let’s hope that happens before she ruins that forum too.

What the hell happened that they had to erace another thread?

This seems to be an epidemic over at VF disappearing threads.  I read the explaining but I don’t know what was so terrible.

VentPark is in receipt of an email from a confirmed VideoFitness person who is threatening to go to the state Attorney General, and other “appropriate enforcement bodies” unless VentPark removes this entire thread by Friday. She claims that women and seniors are a protected class and that the use of the word “hag” is hate speech. She also didn’t like the comments posted above and she “suspects” that all of the posts were by one person alone.

Does anyone want to weigh in on this subject?

Hello.  This is like an episode of 24! There is a thread at VF about why are the threads disappearing and if you look at comment #50 by DebM she states she was contacted by Wendy and to not discuss details but there’s legal something going on, etc.  If you go back to the OP here, that was the point wasn’t it?  Negativity, control, closing down threads?  Just didn’t think “they” thought their reach went to other websites!  Posters can be outlandish in their commentary at VF and the mods/Wendy ignore their buddies but then for the rest of us, we get our threads delteted or bashed.  Double standards.  It’s an outrage that they condone or have the audacity to bully another site ontop of all else.  Who died and left them in charge?  First Ammendment rights–ever heard of them? Their behavior is indeed haggish.  Is it any different than an episode of 24 when factions make threats against groups to get their way or else?  I have more to say but I just wanted to vent this right away.

I don’t read anything here that states a fact.  Everyone is entitled to their opinion - there is NO LAW against that.  However, it IS against the law to hack people’s emails, and to send emails which contents defame businesses (be it skincare companies, exercise video companies or whatever)- that is called “3rd Party Harassment).  So whoever is concerned about THESE posts, I would think twice before casting the first stone.

Oh Vent Park Ranger, that’s so funny!  I wonder how she would feel if the tables were turned and there was a counter suit claimed for hacking peoples emails?  Morever, this is a place that is here specifically to vent frustrations - that is the entire purpose!  How about the violation of hacking private emails and taking down forums!  No wonder threads are disappearing at VF!  Ask DY of the SCB all about that and all the threads lost there!  I’m sure she would be happy to fill Wendy at VF in and she might be well advised to take heed of what may happen to her.

This is absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt written by the same person who wrote the “planted” ridiculous reviews on this website with links to purchase Tracy’s workouts at Amazon.

After reading the article, I would bet my “hotter than hot” body (without any help from Tracy Anderson thank you) that Tracy never lost 30-40 pounds using her “method”.
It is true that anybody who had lost that kind of weight would be able to produce at least one fat picture if for no other reason than to increase sales. I hate having my photo taken and did avoid the camera when I gained 100 pounds from anti-seizure meds…but I can certainly post one disgusting photo if anyone is interested!
If she did lose weight, she had to have lost it through clean eating and/or working out. We all know there is no magic to Tracy Anderson method that causes weight loss. But that does not sell her DVDs!
Why does it matter that she looks hot now?  She has implants and hair extensions and is fit. So are 1,000,0000 other hotties in LA. Her body shape and bone structure is genetic since there is no such thing as “rearranging the muscles to create a tinier body structure”…as much as Tracy would have you believe such trash.
The celeb stuff is pure nonsense. Celebs switch trainers as often as they switch thongs and both Madonna and Gweneth have always been tiny framed…Gweneth bordering on anorexic looking.
Any program of cardio and resistance training 2-3 hours a day (admitted volume of training posted on this same website) would have helped Gweneth shed her baby weight. Since she is already very small boned and lacks muscle devvelopment, she is the perfect person for Tracy to manipulate and use to sell workouts. I could make Gweneth look fit and “tiny” with 2-3 hours a day to train her. Any decent trainer could.
There are just no words for the final paragraph in the article:

It cracks me up that this woman pretends to be some sort of science wizard.  The “scientific” information I’ve seen her lecture about can be accessed by anyone who has half a brain cell and knows how to google.  She presents as someone special, with special knowledge and who should be treated as a special person.  Can you say narcissist?  Or is it borderline personality disorder?  I’m on the fence.  It’s something, based on her photo alone.

I had never even heard of VF or Science Lite Girl until I read her diarrhea all over this board.  Since then, I’ve lurked at VF as I actually am interested in fitness DVDs.  Another poster was right - science lite girl sucks the life out of many threads of interest.   Now that she’s played the death card, she’s getting away with murder.  How ironic is that?

Also, don’t be surprised to find out that there are “posters” on VF that really do not exist as separate people - they are most likely just Deb posting under an alias to “backup” her opinions.  And the “join” date does not matter.  She is very calculating and thinks ahead and looks at all angles.

I also noticed that a lot of people asked her to shoot her own routine/work outs - and that they would buy them from her - notice how she failed to respond to that, too!!!

Hmmm……could it be that she doesn’t want them to see the REAL her.  Maybe she’s not as fit as she claims to be??

Well, I don’t feel quite as hostile towards Deb.   I have enjoyed many of her posts, BUT, I will say that I was very skeptical when I read about her dying, and quite frankly, I think most VFers are also skeptical but are being tactful about not posting as much on that thread.  I do think she is a woman who enjoys attention and she is most definitely guilty of histrionics, not only with the announcement of her impending death, but also in the past when she’s claimed to “cry” over some posters’ “attack” on her or “bashing” of her posts.
I’m about done with VF - the selective moderating practices, the annoyingly obnoxious and opinionated posters, etc.   Yeah, I know on any board moderating decisions are tough and the moderators are human, blah, blah, blah.   Here’s a tip….don’t let a certain moderator lock threads, and if the temption to do so is there, dear moderator, pretend that the offending post was posted by one of your buddies.   Would you still lock it or edit it or even comment on it then?   Or would you conveniently overlook that particular thread?

So really she’s an Internet con artist to the extent she tries to become invaluable to a board (at least in her mind, but I’m sure she is occasionally helpful) then she lays out the illness, gets the money, finally gets kicked off the board and finds another sucker board.  Interesting.

She has received money from people she’s never personally met in the past.  She has said that herself.  Take that for what it’s worth and proceed with caution.

It comes as no surprise that Deb has invented more drama for herself on VF.  The latest is that she has “obsessed stalkers” who feed off of her personal life. The only one feeding off of her fantasy life is her.  

When she was a member of another forum her story was that one of the forum members threatened her life.  Will it never end with this woman!  There are no death threats, there are no stalkers, there is no obsession anywhere but in her mind.  The bottom line is she’s played these cards too often on too many forums and people who know her see right through it and are calling her on it.   End of story.

I for one am glad not to see her on the boards.  Her know it all responses get annoying after a while.  Good riddance to her.  Hope she stays away.   I hope she didn’t take peoples money with her death watch scenario.  Hopefully people could spot the scam of her illness rants.

Okay, so Deb hasn’t been around in awhile.  Last I heard she was dying. Well, this other Deb, with the screen name sciencelady & with very similar workout tastes and posting style as DebbieM from VF, goes and posts on Tracie Long’s forum, offends almost everyone there, then denies being the same DebbieM.  She admits to posting on VF but she says she is not DebbieM, and even goes so far as to check when was the last time that DebbieM posted.  That seals it for me.   She is a compulsive liar and I now believe everything that was posted about her here.   I wonder if WWWendy politely asked to get lost or if she got lost of her own accord so as to lend credibility to her “I’m dying” claims.  I also think she lied about her avatar on VF.  Looks nothing like the many pictures Deb had posted in the “show yourself” thread of a few years ago.

I went and read some of the posts at Tracie Long’s forum.  It is, without a doubt, Debbie M.  No doubt.  Right down to the writing style including the way she signs off, “Best Deb”.  You all realize that this woman has a serious Multiple Personality Disorder.  She seriously is very mentally ill.
