Maybe because Toyota is advertising and running their business like a business should be run,  then they're surviving while the American Big Three are struggling because of mismanagement and labor problems.  There's a reason why Toyota is the world's largest automaker.  Maybe the American companies should take a look at what Toyota is doing right and learn from it.  That would go much further in improving the US economy than throwing money into a sinking ship.
