Political Signs Stolen/Vandalized?
(160 views)I’ve been hearing lots of reports of people’s Obama and/or McCain yard signs being stolen or vandalized. So it makes me wonder, how prevalent is this? If you’ve had your sign abused in any way, please tell us about it in the Responses section below.

We keep finding our Obama signs in the neighbors yard every few days! We don’t live in a particularly conservative area, but for some reason someone has it in for our Obama signs. Must be someone in the neighborhood that walks by every now and then, but we’ve never been able to catch him or her. How do you go about catching someone in the act? They seem to always do it after dark, and hell if I’m going to stay up all night hoping to catch them!

haven’t even seen very many signs for obama or mccain in my neighborhood. maybe people are afraid to put them up? seems like people are really at each others throats this election.

I was canvassing for Senator Obama’s campaign the other day through a neighborhood with a good mix of Democrats and Republicans when, as I was walking back to my car, I came across the debris of a McCain political sign strewn across no less than two blocks. I was not only surprised, but furious. This crap is just too much. Not agreeing, not thinking the same way is what makes this country GREAT, and vandalizing or retaliating against a person who disagrees with you is absolutely despicable. I picked up the pieces of the sign to throw away, and tried to locate the house from which it came, but unfortunately none of the neighbors remembered anyone who had a McCain sign. The lack of respect in this campaign just makes me sick.
