Velform Arm Wrap Review
I found this product on Amazon after an exhaustive search. It comes with a tube of scented pink lotion which I doubt does anything except to make your arms softer. It is heavily scented as in almost perfumed (it’s pleasant). But the part of the package I love are the two arm wraps. They aren’t really wraps as in you have to connect them; they slide on (one size fits all) and goes from your armpit to your elbow and provides just the right snugness (much more than a sock). They are slightly texturized with elastic thread throughout and they are light. I just recommend hand wash when you absolutely need to.
Anyway, I wear these for all my arm exercises. No more flapping around. They hold the arm together. It has made a huge difference! It just pushed that area back up and in. I don’t know why exactly, but the obvious is that I’m training that area to the arm bone rather than away (due to gravity and force of movement). I still pitch forward during the arm exercises without weights to attempt to defy gravity a little (see my Part 3 Mat review).
I suppose if you wanted to go hard core you could wear the Velform arm wraps under clothes, but I just wear them for 30 minutes and exercise 6 days a week.
One more observation, have you ever noticed that the more developed the woman’s biceps are from weighted biceps curls the more flapping there is from the triceps? That’s my other tip. Stop those exercises and stick with Tracy Anderson Mat Workout. Tracy says that that amount of bulk can create lose skin and I’m a believer.
There you have it (in 2 pages, which is a record for me!). Do #1, #2, and #3 and enjoy unbelievable arms.
You may return to Amazon here to purchase the Velform Arm Wrap System.

Hey Reviewer, thanks for this tip. I have to say, even though i’ve been doing this workout for a few months and the tops of my arms are lean and toned (look great basically), I do still have the darn swing underneath!!! Drives me nuts! So are you honestly saying this helps firm and tone them up after you take the slings off?
Reviewer says:
HI Mom of 4, The firming doesn’t happen “after” you take them off. It happens while you’re wearing them. And I don’t think that the wraps actually do the firming, I think they are a device to compact the arm firmly (but without blood supply loss) into the shape you ideally want. Then during the 30 minutesof wearing them I rev it up a notch by by doing the TA Mat arms exercises. The arms retrain themselves over time because of the Velform holding the muscle and skin to wear they should be.
Additionally, I love the TA arm exercises, however, Tracy is already toned. When we have arm hang happenin’ I think we can’t just start doing all that aggressive arm movement without telling/assisting the muscles where they should be–thus I wear the Velform which is perfect rather than socks or ace bandages, etc.
Also, my thought goes to post pregnancy, we are still wearing maternity pants for a few weeks that have stretchy elastic fibers to hold us in and retrain our tummy area to go back to where we want it. So it made sense to me to do the same for my arms. I used to think somedays perhaps my arms had given birth!!!
The Velform’s have made a huge difference for me along with Ms. Anderson and the plywood room. The backs of my arms are firm to the touch instead of mush to the touch. I found a European Velform Arm Wrap forum once that had a before and after picture showing just this but I couldn’t grab the picture for here.
I always wear the Velform’s every day so it keeps retraining the arms up and in. Sort of like you get braces off and have to wear a retainer for awhile. But in this case, the Velform acts as the braces in the first place and the retainer in the second place! Hope this helps!!

Hi, Reviewer -
Thanks for researching and posting about this product. I was following your tips for arm flapping, but I was wearing these arm wraps by Curves that I had gotten from Avon. Then around the holidays my local paper had an article about “Flabuless” compression sleeves (http://www.flabulessu.com) that I was considering. However I like the Velform pink color so I may treat myself to a pair. I had been considering getting a pair of compression hose and cutting the feet off and making my own “flabuless” workout sleeves. I agree there’s something to it, and I believe it’s the gravity thing as you explained about the tiger. Who needs it waving around when what you’re trying to do is tone it up?!
My arms are the bane of my existence, and even when I was thinner, I still had “beefy” arms no matter what form of arm exercises I did. The weird thing is, I have taken to noticing this arm hang phenomenom and you’re right, I find that women, particularly after a certain age, no matter how in shape they are, still get the bat wing, even if it’s a little bit.

I’m so glad you posted this. I started the TA workout for the very reason that my arms were starting to look like my mother’s. I used to have pretty bulked up arms so Tracy’s theory about “making more space for loose skin” hit close to home for me.
I’m going to give these a try and maybe I can start waving to people again

I stumbled onto this website and started reading your input on the TA DVD.I have been debating on whether to buy it or not.I am 42 years old,I am a size 14 and weigh to my surprise 200 pounds and I am 5″5 in height.Do you think that It would be ok if I started on the Mat DVD? Or do you think that it is too much for a person of my size? Honestly,my body type is very curvy,so it doesn’t even look like I weigh that much, which is why I was very surprised.I exercise on and off and I can’t seem to stay motivaded long enough to start seeing a difference. A few months ago,I exercised for 2 weeks without missing a scheduled exercise day(every other day cardio(with the Firm, and the other days compound exercise with Jari Love, whom I really like),and started loosing inches(exciting)but then something threw me off track(life)and haven’t been able to stick with anything. But I do love how you talk about the arms because I have fat arms and legs and would really want to see them not only get thinner but have some kind of definition to them by the time summer gets here, which is in less then 6 months.I would like to see results quickly to keep me motivated. I so deserve to be so much thinner.I am so tired of feeling disgusted of my fatness.
Love your input on Tracy Anderson DVD,it was great.

Hi egomezgarcia, I don’t know if you meant to post here on the Velform review, but if you go into the Reviews Park here at VentPark go to the Tracy Anderson Message Board. If you read through those posts you will definitely be inspired and realize that the TA Mat workout is doable and addictive and you get fast results. Yes, it would be an excellent workout to do. You can post over there and get TA support too. All of us who have stuck with it realize better bodies than we ever knew in our lifetime.

Hi egomezgarcia, I second Reviewer! We’ve been on here for a few months and it really helps inspire me and motivate me to keep it up. I’ve been doing TA since Sept and I’ve gone down sizes! I get compliments a lot about how toned I look…love that! I use to do The Firm and never got the results I am getting now and this quickly. Plus it’s plain fun. I so encourage you to do it. Give it a good month and you’ll love it!

Thank you so much for this review. I’m new to Vent Park and very impressed with all the great information people are putting out there. I’m currently doing Tracy’s Mat workout and seeing great results, but every little bit helps, so I just ordered the wraps. Thanks again!

I looked for the Velform stuff but it isn’t available on Amazon right now! I bought the mat workout and dance cardio dvds as soon as Oprah alerted me about Tracy! Unfortunately I have been less than faithful about doing them. That is the answer to success and I need to get my act together BUT….I just severely sprained my foot. While keeping my right leg iced and elevated I scoured the Net for inspiration from Tracy. It’s amazing how pumped you can get on the couch…I completely believe in her Method,it is ALL up to me to find results and your reviews are very useful, thanks.
