The world’s most In-Depth-Leave-Nothing-Out Review of Tracy Anderson Method Presents Mat Workout — DVD (2008)
Even before the widely viewed Gwyneth Paltrow appearance on Oprah, which included the workout clip of Gwyneth with her trainer, Tracy Anderson (who also trains Madonna), I happened upon an in-depth TV segment about Madonna on some cable station.
This was about two weeks before the Oprah show.
The segment had been on in the background of my office with the volume off late one night. I was on the phone only half paying attention to the TV. Then I saw Madonna working out and I threw my friend off the phone.
Let’s face it. Madonna, age 50 does have an amazing body despite the overly-buff arms.
Madonna said on the TV segment that Tracy Anderson was her trainer now and that “Tracy had a way to exercise you that brought the skin in and rejuvenated it for a more youthful appearance.” And that Tracy “had a way of making your body as tiny as it could be.”
Ok. That was music to my ears. “Tiny” and “rejuvenated skin” was the 80% I needed to hear. I give 20% to Madonna for endorsing Tracy which I figure for a tycoon to give a blessing to anything it must be good. I looked and Madonna’s arms seemed less like a weight lifter. I thought, “Good switch Madonna.”
I wrote down the name Tracy Anderson and went to the Internet.
I found the TracyAndersonMethod.com site but I thought it was strange that she had this big explanation about an old boyfriend and a bad breakup and … was there a restraining order? And were the pictures of her all that? Hadn’t I seen better? And what if the routine on the DVDs was not the routine she did in-person with BFFs Gwyenth and Madonna?
Then when I looked on the DVD pages, there was literally NO INFORMATION. No running time, no list of special equipment, no results to be expected and nothing about the difference between the 3 DVDs.
