How I overcame my cellulite
and got my body in fantastic
youthful shape in a pretty short
amount of time (Part I) —
A review of The Zone Diet

Here’s some of what I learned.

Being in shape, getting rid of the cellulite, etc. is not just about sticking a dvd in and pressing play. I now get that.

She has a whole program. You have to do all of it if you want the results. It’s based on her constant and continued focus, really since she was a child (she was born to do this) to improve others’ fitness and overall health. She talks to authorities, questions everything, and digs for research as well as anecdotal stories. She loves fitness. This is her life.

She doesn’t promote herself. She doesn’t want to be anyone’s guru. She says she doesn’t have a lock on the fitness market or all the answers. So she’s also a liar, because she rocked my body to the point that I could prance around the house in very short shorts or as my friends said, “panty prancing.”

I think she has put together the fitness puzzle in a way that I can follow, appreciate, and force myself to do.

Here’s the first part of what I have been doing:

Eating in the Zone:

When I was told about the Zone Diet I immediately thought it was one of those quacky ones like the Atkins diet. After buying a ton of Zone related books I realized that it’s been around for several years. I wondered how I got this old and had never heard of it even once.

The Zone diet is not a diet; it’s really a food science. You have to pay attention. Depending on how your brain is wired, you may read it, get it and be off to the races. For me the science is fascinating and I sort of get it but…

I started to approach these books as a school project and I was going to study until I had it down and then, mid-way through some books, I thought, screw it-I wanted to get started! I decided I was going to order the books with the recipes and grocery lists and make a recipe and try it.
