How I overcame my cellulite
and got my body in fantastic
youthful shape in a pretty short
amount of time (Part II) —
A review of Dove's Bodies Total Body Workout

I think that is how to best describe Dove’s body. It’s free. It is unencumbered. It has ultimate freedom. It’s in such a high-level healthy state I just simply have not seen bodies like that except in the Olympics. Her body is free to move, to roam, to explore, to be body-happy, to be the way bodies were intended to be.

This is why I now say that these are 4 little masterpieces sitting in DVD jackets. They, along with her other program directives, hold the Holy Grail for body freedom.

And let’s talk about those directives.

I saw on Dove’s website that she offered fitness or nutrition consults for $250/hour. I signed up for one. Sure $250 is a lot of money, but I was tired of not having all the answers. What if there was something that I should be doing along with the DVDs?

Yes there were indeed several things, many tips, many strategies that I should have been doing. I was thrilled that I called. I now know it was the best $250 I’ve ever spent. I will list the main points below, but I’d like to tell you that she was so warm and present when she talked to me. Very engaging.

Several times Dove encouraged me to understand … not one thing is magic; you have to do them all. Here they are:

In Part I, I discussed The Zone Diet. I won’t cover that again here, but it too is magic. Please give it a 3 week trial before dismissing it. After 3 weeks, things will start happening. But you have to stay true to the Zone 100% of the time 7/days a week. No cheat day where you binge on whatever. You won’t need to as everything tastes so wonderful and your cravings are curbed and your mood is pleasant all the time due to the hormonal balancing.

Next, drink water. Eight 8 oz. of clean water per day. This is part of the Zone and Dove’s directives. I never did the 8 glasses of water my entire life, although I heard about it for decades. I was always drinking ice tea all day and evening long. Which lead me to her next directive …

Give up all caffeine.

None. This too is in the Zone books. You can drink decaffeinated but you still have to drink 8 8-oz. of water each day. So if you are a caffeine junkie, you have to quit or withdraw. And even if you think tea or coffee is the life saver of all time and has redeeming qualities and health benefits, in the end, it’s a toxin.
